1 – 1 1/2 cups dried black-eyed peas
1 tbs garlic salt
1 tbs onion powder
1/4 cup diced onion
1/2 tbs minced garlic
1. Cover the black-eyed peas with water in a pot. Sprinkle with garlic salt and onion powder.
2. Soak the black-eyes peas in water all day or overnight.
3. About an hour before you need them, boil the peas until soft (30 minutes or so).
4. Sautee onion and garlic with some oil or butter. Add cooked black-eyed peas.
